Photographers, where are they ?

Searching for Hassan

Autumn 2007. I was offered to go and photograph a batalion of Kurd soldiers in the Iraqi army. I had 48 hours to decide whether I wanted to go or not .
I went. There, a friend of mine gave me his old Hi8 video camera, with ten tapes. I am a photographer, I have never shot with a video camera. I have never seen the war. For one month, I stayed with the soldiers, and I shot their daily life. The waiting, the tension, the dead times, the endless crossings of this city, looking for never-to-be-found terrrorists.
